Israeli occupation forces continued their assault on the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, raiding neighborhoods, setting fire to homes, and demolishing residential buildings in the Nur Shams refugee camp.
For the 48th consecutive day, Israeli forces stormed several areas of the Tulkarm refugee camp, forcibly expelling Palestinian residents from their homes as part of their ongoing military assault. Meanwhile, occupation troops deployed additional reinforcements to Tulkarm, moving through main streets while restricting the movement of Palestinian civilians and vehicles. Military vehicles and bulldozers were also seen in front of buildings seized by Israeli forces on Nablus Street, which have been turned into military outposts.
Simultaneously, Israeli troops opened fire on an ambulance heading toward the Nur Shams refugee camp to evacuate a patient, preventing it from reaching its destination.
The escalation in Tulkarm has resulted in the martyrdom of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women—one of whom was eight months pregnant—alongside the injury and arrest of hundreds. Additionally, more than 12,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced from Nur Shams, with another 12,000 displaced from the Tulkarm camp.
The large-scale aggression has left behind widespread destruction, heavily damaging infrastructure, homes, commercial establishments, and vehicles, many of which were completely demolished, burned, or looted.
Israeli Forces Carry Out Mass Arrests Across the West Bank
Israeli occupation forces fired live bullets and tear gas at Palestinians in the village of Shuqba, west of Ramallah, during a military raid.
In al-Khalil, Israeli troops stormed the al-Fawwar refugee camp, opening fire on Palestinians, while also raiding the town of Sa’ir, where they arrested a young man. Three more Palestinians were detained in the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, while several others were held in al-Khader, south of Beit Lahm.
In Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, Israeli forces arrested three young Palestinians.
On Saturday, Israeli occupation troops shot and killed 21-year-old Palestinian Omar Abed al-Hakim Shtayyeh in the village of Salem, east of Nablus, during a raid.
Since the onset of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces and settlers have escalated their violence across the occupied West Bank, including al-Quds, martyring approximately 930 Palestinians and wounding nearly 7,000 others, according to official Palestinian figures.
