About Al Raqeeb Media Network
Al Raqeeb is the first and only independent media network in Palestine specialized in economics. It broadcasts in both Arabic and English and offers specialized programming in multiple languages.
Al Raqeeb is a Palestinian independent media network focused on economic affairs. Its programs are broadcast over the airwaves on 101.9 FM, and also streamed live through its official website. The network produces radio, television, and digital content, and houses a dedicated center for media studies and training.
The network was launched in 2007 as a printed newspaper specializing in economic issues. In 2012, it expanded its reach by launching the program “Malf Al-Raqeeb” (The Raqeeb File), which was broadcast through a coalition of 10 radio stations and 10 media organizations across the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza — marking the first collective Palestinian initiative for producing and broadcasting specialized economic content over the air.
Since 2020, Al Raqeeb has established itself as a fully independent multimedia radio network, combining FM radio, television production, and digital news platforms. It aims to raise economic and human rights awareness among the Palestinian public through its content and initiatives.
The network places the economy at the core of its coverage, while also focusing on human rights, freedom of movement, economic freedom, and the empowerment of women, youth, and people with disabilities. Over the years, Al Raqeeb has become a credible platform for independent journalism, investigation, and accountability, contributing to the improvement of economic information and awareness in Palestine — ultimately helping to enhance the quality of life for its citizens.
