The number of Palestinian detainees held inside Israeli custody have exceeded 9500 until the beginning of March, according to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
The Commission and PPS affirmed that the number of detained children exceeded 350, women 21, administrators 3405, while the number of Gaza detainees recognized by the occupation prison administration was 1555, noting that this data does not include all Gaza detainees, specifically those in the camps affiliated with the occupation army.
It is noteworthy that the total number of detainees in occupation prisons before the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, was more than 5250, and the number of female detainees was 41, while the number of children in prisons was 170, and administrators was about 1320.
