Israel declared war on Hamas on October 8 following a shock land, air and sea assault by the Gaza-based Islamists. The death toll from the shock cross-border assault by Hamas militants rose to 1,200, making it the deadliest attack in the country's 75-year history, while Gaza officials reported more than 900 people killed as Israel pounded the territory with air strikes. According to a report from the Gaza Government Media Office released last night, Israeli forces have obliterated 1,600 Palestinian families during their relentless aggression on the Gaza Strip for the past 460 days, removing them from the civil registry by killing both the parents and all family members. The number of victims in these families amounts to 5,612 martyrs.

The Government Media Office indicated that 3,471 Palestinian families were annihilated by the occupation, leaving only one survivor from each, amounting to 9,000 martyrs in total. Furthermore, the occupation has committed 10,015 massacres, including 7,182 against families. The total number of martyrs from the aggression has reached 45,936, with 109,274 injured and around 11,200 missing, 70% of whom are children and women.

The report elaborated that 17,841 children have been martyred, including 240 infants who were born and died during the genocidal war, 858 children under one year old, and 44 who died due to malnutrition, food scarcity, and starvation.

The Government Media Office also noted that eight individuals, including seven children, died from extreme cold in refugee tents. The number of female martyrs has risen to 12,298.

In addition, 1,068 medical personnel, 94 civil defense staff, 202 journalists, and 736 aid security officers were killed by the occupation in 149 targeted crimes.

The office also reported that 35,074 children are living without one or both parents, 12,132 women lost their husbands during the genocidal war, and 3,500 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition and lack of food.

The number of detainees from Gaza in Israeli prisons has risen to 6,600, including 331 health workers, three of whom were executed inside prisons, 43 journalists whose names are known, and 26 civil defense personnel.

The Gaza Government Media Office further indicated that the ongoing aggression has forced two million citizens to flee their homes, with 110,000 tents rendered uninhabitable.

It was also reported that 823 mosques were completely destroyed, and 158 were severely damaged, in addition to the destruction of three churches and 19 cemeteries out of 60. Israeli forces also stole 2,300 bodies from various cemeteries.

The report concluded that the aggression has destroyed 161,600 housing units completely, 194,000 partially, and left 82,000 uninhabitable.
