Ramallah, Palestine – Raqeeb Media Network. In a historic step reflecting the will to innovate amid the toughest of circumstances, Palestine has launched EduPro, the first educational platform in both Palestine and the Middle East to rely entirely on a locally developed artificial intelligence model. The launch took place during the 10th National Forum on Innovation, themed “From the Homeland to the World.”

Developed by ABA Agency, the platform is the brainchild of co-founder Samer Al-Bitawi, who also serves as the company’s General Manager, together with its board and a team of Palestinian programmers and engineers. EduPro offers an integrated technological solution to support the educational system, particularly under the severe challenges facing the sector, including ongoing war, destruction, economic hardship, and restricted access to schools.

A Platform Ready to Serve Six Stakeholders

Al-Bitawi presented a detailed overview of the platform, stressing that it is fully operational and designed to serve six main stakeholders within an integrated digital educational ecosystem. Each category is equipped with tailored tools and access rights.

  • For students (Grades 4–12): A fully interactive learning experience featuring all school subjects, supported by a smart virtual teacher capable of solving complex math and physics problems, answering immediate queries, and generating adaptive exam questions with instant feedback.

  • For parents: Continuous monitoring of children’s academic performance and behavior, with AI-powered insights and recommendations to address learning and behavioral challenges.

  • For teachers: Advanced tools to design, prepare, and manage lessons interactively, supported by smart analytics to improve teaching practices.

  • For schools, directorates, and the Ministry of Education: Specialized dashboards offering data-driven insights into educational performance, challenges, and opportunities—enabling more strategic decision-making.

Al-Bitawi also highlighted a unique feature called “Community”, allowing students from the same grade to interact and exchange knowledge across geographic boundaries. The AI analyzes these interactions to generate intelligent recommendations that promote collaborative and active learning.

National Endorsement and a Vision for the Future

The launch marked a pivotal moment with the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence—the forum’s organizer—announcing its readiness to endorse the platform locally and internationally, as it has with other pioneering national projects.

The event was attended by key policymakers, innovators, and educational leaders, including Engineer Adnan Samara, President of the Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence and advisor to President Mahmoud Abbas on innovation affairs. He underscored the project’s strategic importance, stating:

“Amid the challenges our society faces, Palestinian minds once again prove their ability to produce, innovate, and create.”

Samara added that the platform is already functional and ready to serve students, describing it as a testament to resilience and the ability to keep pace with global advancements despite ongoing difficulties. The launch drew wide recognition and appreciation from experts in education and AI for the depth of its vision and quality of execution.

Immediate Availability

Unlike many startups that launch as pilot concepts, EduPro was released as a fully functional platform, ready for immediate use. Students from Grade 4 through Grade 12 can register and access:

  • A multi-disciplinary virtual teacher capable of handling complex problems and responding instantly.

  • Smart assessment exams generating new questions and real-time evaluation.

  • Dedicated dashboards for students, parents, teachers, schools, directorates, and ministries, creating a transparent and interconnected educational system.

The platform is also prepared for immediate implementation at the school and directorate levels, providing crucial support as examination periods approach.

Continuous Development and Strategic Partnerships

The platform’s ambitions extend further. In the coming days, it will be presented to educational institutions in partnership with the Higher Council for Innovation to open dialogue, study development pathways, and explore how to integrate it more deeply into the official education system. These efforts aim to secure partnerships that ensure long-term growth and alignment with global AI-driven educational transformations.

Technological Sovereignty and Data Security

EduPro’s strength lies in its reliance on a local AI model hosted on private servers, guaranteeing full sovereignty over student data and independence from global AI platforms. This technological autonomy, born from necessity in Palestine, allows the platform to be both secure and adaptable for use in any educational system worldwide.

Al-Bitawi emphasized that the project goes beyond technology, aiming to safeguard Palestine’s most vital asset—its people. By enabling quality education, analyzing students’ academic and behavioral patterns, and preserving cultural and educational heritage through local data control, EduPro emerges as both an educational tool and a strategic national project protecting digital sovereignty for future generations.

A Message of Hope and Resilience

The launch of EduPro represents more than a technological milestone; it is a declaration that Palestinian intellect can transform hardship into opportunity and produce innovative solutions for humanity.

Al-Bitawi announced that the platform will be offered free of charge to students and teachers for the current academic year, including an extension for Gaza, ensuring equitable access under extraordinary conditions.
