Raqeeb<\/strong> – Political analyst Dr. Mahmoud Khallouf warned of the dangerous political and on-the-ground phase Palestinians are going through, amid the expanding scope of aggression, the increase in settler attacks, and the continued international and Arab incapacity to take real steps to stop Israeli violations.<\/p>\n Khallouf said, during his appearance on Al-Raqeeb<\/em> with Talaat Alawi, that the world today is \u201cconfused,\u201d using the same tools without any real impact, whether in the Security Council or the General Assembly. He pointed out that international resolutions \u201cno longer mean anything on the ground,\u201d at a time when international institutions are unable to open a single gate in the West Bank or allow even one liter of water into Gaza.<\/p>\n He explained that the most dangerous aspect facing the Palestinian arena is the world\u2019s acceptance of this harsh reality, along with the decline of formal Arab engagement, at a time when arrests and settler attacks are escalating, and a policy of intimidation is being imposed\u2014aimed at depriving Palestinians of any sense of safety in their homes, their land, and their movement.<\/p>\n Khallouf revealed that the architect of the \u201cconsciousness-shaping policy,\u201d former Israeli minister Moshe Ya\u2019alon, admitted about seven months ago to the failure of this policy, stressing that this acknowledgment means, strategically, that Palestinians have won the battle of will despite all attempts by the occupation to strip them of their resilience.<\/p>\n He added that the Palestinian citizen\u2019s ability to adapt to occupation measures\u2014from checkpoints to ever-increasing restrictions\u2014is evidence of strong popular will. \u201cBut the real problem lies in the factions and the Authority, which adapt to the reality instead of pushing it toward a calculated political and popular confrontation.\u201d<\/p>\n In a related context, Khallouf criticized the performance of the Arab League, affirming that \u201cthe agenda of the normalization states\u201d has come to dominate the League\u2019s discourse, leading to a decline in its real role, despite the fact that the Arab Parliament was established to represent peoples, not regimes\u2014something that has not been achieved to this day.<\/p>\n The political analyst stressed that the real Palestinian bet should be on national self-reliance, not on regional or international promises.
